Description

Our change of plans, your opportunity

For Sale: 2021 Catamaran HotCat 10 “JoJo”
-fully electric liveaboard sailing boat-
asking EUR 129,000-VAT paid

Length : 33ft/10m
Beam : 19ft/6 m
Draft: 3ftr/0.8 m
Displacement: 3.5t (light), 4.5t (cruising)
Class: multi-hull sailing vessel

Sailing gear: Full set of sails, main sail, genoa 80%, genoa 130%, gennaker on roll, asymmetric spinaker in sock. Two electric 3kW/5Hp pods provide auxiliary power.
The autopilot is a Pcnautic with ram cilinder and wifi steering options. The design sports minimal lines on deck and minimal needed deck movements. All except the spinaker can be operated from the cockpit and handled by 1 person.

Accomodation: 2 Double cabines with 4 spacious 6x7ft/1.8x2m berths, 1 (manual) head and 1 spacious bathroom with modern shower facility. Kitchen (no galley in this case) with 4 electric burners, oven and soft-close drawers. Spacious and easily accessible storage aplenty on the bridgedeck, as well as front and aft. There is an outdoor shower with warm water available as well.

Technical outfit: The backbone are 3 Lithium power banks of 100Ah at 48V, holding 15KWh of energy. The Solar panels of 2000Wh and 2 windgens of 500Wh, managed by a 5KW Inverter/charger provide all propulsion and household energy to the 15KW Lithium battery banks. An emergency gasoline super silent generator has never been used in our travels, but it is included.
The electric boiler gives comfortable warm water, the water-maker of 60l/h is a simple home-built machine that can pour straight into the freshwater tanks of 100l each.
Anchor, Rockna 15kg/33lb, electric winch and 25m of chain provides safe anchoring.
The 2.8m Airdeck RIB tender with electric Epropulsion outboard is a perfect solution for this setup and easily hoists onto the Davids in the shown vertical position (see pictures).

Background: Built in 2020 and on tour since 2021 the boat is presently in Portugal. The boat has proven itself on our trip from the North Sea coast of the Netherlands, through the English channel along the French coast, across Biscay and along the Spanish and Portugese coast on the Atlantic Ocean.
JoJo has a Wood-Epoxy composite structure that is strong and seaworthy, the design is head turning and functional too, designed for short handed sailing and easily handled by 1 person. It is a very comfortable, modern and completely self sufficient live-aboard sailing boat that is surprisingly spacious for its size.
